History
In 1961 a one-teacher school began in the hall under the Castle Hill Adventist Church. In 1965 a two classroom school was built on 2 acres behind the church. Until 1968 Castle Hill Church took full responsibility for the School. In that year four surrounding churches, then called the Hills District, combined to operate the Adventist School.
In 1970, with financial assistance from the Greater Sydney Conference's "Support Our Schools" scheme, the school completed extensions including one extra classroom, offices, toilets and an assembly room. Upgrading of the playground was also carried out at this time. The school continued to grow and in 1978 the next stage of the building was completed, including 3 classrooms, an art/craft room, a canteen and storage areas.
During 1996 a large building project began. This provided the school with a new library, computer room, extra classroom, reception area, offices and staffroom first used in 1997.
An Early Leaning Centre has been established at our school. The design for the Early Learning Centre commenced in December 2004 and construction started in June 2005, with the work finishing in May 2006. The building was officially opened on Sabbath afternoon, 3rd June, 2006.
The Centre is licensed to care for up to 59 children per day. There is one preschool class that caters for three year olds and two prep classes for four to five year olds. Large sized rooms enable the children to engage in activities without interrupting each other.
Hills Adventist College will commence its Year 12 stage in 2013.
