Principal's Message

It is with professional pride that I welcome you to Hills Adventist College.
 
At Hills Adventist College we believe that each child is unique and amazingly precious in the sight of God and our close school community. 
 
Our school offers a rich learning environment for pre-school children in our registered Early Learning Centre (3-4 year olds) and continues through the primary classes to year 6. Hills Adventist College has commenced its year 7-12 stages with Year 11 commencing in 2012 and Years 12 being added in 2013. 
Our teaching focuses on each child achieving his/her highest potential in areas of physical, mental, spiritual and social development. The size and structure of our school allows for each child to be treated as a special individual. Value for others, self respect, acceptance of others and wise decision making are just a few of the skills and attitudes that demonstrate the special character of Hills Adventist College.
 
Some highlights of the school include:

  • Committed and professional Christian teachers – there are specialist teachers caring for the French, Literacy/Numeracy, Art, Computer, Integration and Music Programs.  
  • Strong academic standards – a differentiated curriculum allows for the extension of our gifted students. 
  • Excellent facilities – a new library and resource centre and computer laboratory have enabled the school to extend further the curriculum to make use of these valuable facilities. 
  • Integrated thinking skills program – to help students make wise decisions and solve problems
  • Extra curriculum program – highly valued by the school’s clientele is the after school sports opportunities.
  • Pastoral care of students and whole school community. 
  • Parent involvement – there are many opportunities for parents to assist on a voluntary basis within the school program. Parents are encouraged to bring their time, talents, hobbies and other creative abilities to supplement the program. 
  • A strong music program, including private and group tutoring, band, choir and performance training.
