Scholarships
Hills Adventist College offers a limited number of scholarships to students who demonstrate outstanding endeavour and achievement. The College offers All-Rounder and Academic Scholarships to students entering Years 5, 7, 9 and 11, based on the criteria outlined below.
The awarding of all Scholarships is at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee and may be awarded from 10% to 100%. Scholarships cover tuition costs only, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other bursaries. Scholarship application forms should be completed and submitted to the Scholarship Committee for consideration.
Scholars are expected to work hard at their studies and to be involved in the wider life of the School. Scholarships are awarded for a two-year period, and holders of scholarships may re-apply at the end of that time.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the results of the Scholarship Examination, the interview and the documentation provided. Applicants who progress to an interview may wish to assemble a portfolio of achievement from other sources such as School Reports; Certificates awarded in State and National Competitions or up-to-date documents from outside agencies and bring this to the interview. Applicants not currently enrolled at the College can only progress to an interview if they submit an Application for Enrolment.
All-Rounder Scholarships
This scholarship is offered for students who immerse themselves in a range of activities – in the classroom, on the sports field and in their community.
Academic Scholarships
Academic Scholars are seen within the College as role models in terms of their intellectual curiosity and strong work ethic.
